My second review for the same place, this time we went for the Sunday Brunch. Again a very nice feeling overall.
As we entered, the restaurant manager warmly welcomed us and helped us get seated.
The gol-guppa/pani-puri was good. The appetizers/starters were very good except the chilly bajji which was toooo hot. I went with the usual impression that it is either bajji chilli/molaga or the one treated in tamarind water to make it less hot, but it was neither. Took a while to get my tongue back to normal. There were six gravies, all tasted good, mixed vegetable, dal makhni, and panneer were very tasty. Buter roti and naan were served on the table, quite quick and fast service. There was the other section with cold dahi chats, juices, desserts. Too full to taste the chat, had a berry juice, it was good. Gulab jamun was very good. Kids and myself got tattoo painting done and it was some extra fun after food. Mr. and Mrs. Arora as usual were there to say a hello and enquire if everything was ok and that personal touch is definitely a USP for this place.
I would definitely go back again and recommend it to friends.

Most of these clicks are from The Gateway Hotel, Coonoor where we had dinner on 17th May 2013, on my Birthday 😛
The restaurant was good, food was also good and a nice buffet spread. A memorable dinner overall.
The Pav Bhaaji photos that you see in this collection are from The Garden Cafe, Ooty. This is my review about this place.
We were two families and we visited here after sight-seeing around 5:30PM for some snacks. We actually went to Sidewalk Cafe and that was opening only at 06:30PM, hence opted for the coffee shop in the same complex.
The place was good, a small lawn outside with chairs, colorful flowers, the ambience was also good.
The food was a mixed bag –
Paper Dosa was good, we ordered two, the waiter mentioned that it was really big and asked us to have a look at the first and order a second one if needed. That was nice advice, really appreciated.
Sanwiches/Toast – Cheese and Chilly toast was very good, similarly the cheest toast was good too..
Chat was very average. Bhelpuri was so so and Pav Bhaji was very average.
Overall, a decent place, nothing very special.

Had been to this place for dinner with family (2 adults and 2 kids, aged 7 and 2).
The place was easy to spot on Burkit road, T-nagar. They said Valet parking was available, but couldnt find anyone to take the keys. So parked it myself. Lucky to find a spot.
As we entered, on the first look, ambience was quite good. We were well-received, found a table immediately and the service was also good. Saturday evening and I expected it to be more crowded, but it wasnt !
The food was overall very good, except G3 (Chicken breast filled with minced chicken..blah blah). It was definitely not hot. The chicken was harder than what I expected. Not very bad taste-wise though. I wouldnt order that again 🙂 Starters and desserts were very good. Other main courses were yummy..D11 and E3…You’ll find these codes on the menu..easier this way than the actual name 😉
It is not very pricey, BUT, the portions are small, definitely not enough for a good eater.
Overall a very decent place and good food. I will definitely visit again and recommend it to friends.

First of all, I would like to congratulate and thank the organizers – ‘Chennai Food Guide’ and ‘Tuscana at Chamiers’ for a wonderful opportunity to photograph pizzas and in addition to that, eat yummy pizzas. 🙂
Having been to Kryptos by Willi a few times, I expected this level of hospitality from Vipin Sachdev and team, and truly they lived upto it. Hats off.
All the arrangements were taken care of very well. Overall it was a nice and enjoyable experience to take part in a contest like this, and my first attempt at food photography 🙂
Date/Venue – April 9 2013 4:00 PM Onwards at Tuscana on Chamiers
After an evening at the Chennai Trade Fair, we were headed back to Velachery and since it was already about 09:45 in the night, we decided to have our dinner here.
The place is easy to miss as the name board is not that catchy. As we entered close to 10PM, the first sight surprised me – All tables were occupied ! 🙂 The restaurant was packed !!
We had to wait for about 5 mins and then managed to get a table. It was a small, but nice place. They had a kid’s chair and that was comfortable.
The continental choices were good. Cottage cheese steak, Lasagne, and Chef’s baked bowl were all very tasty, however, I felt the portions were a little small.
Close to 10:45, we were informed that it was time for the last order. The only tandoori choice available was paneer Tikka and we ordered that. It was a letdown totally ! Either it was not cooked enough or probably was removed from the tandoor because it was closing time. It was hard and not cooked enough. They could have said they didnt have it. 🙂
Almost full, so just one dessert for all four of us – Choclate Sundae and it was yummy !
Overall, a nice place to eat vegetarian food. But no reservations and you may have to wait for a while to get a table.

Visited with family on Valentine’s Day 2013 for Dinner.
Right from entering the restaurant, we were attended to very well. Got seated in less than a minute. Attentive waiters, nice service, no complaints at all. While we were finishing, at least two people, (one of them was a manager) enquired if we enjoyed our food.
The ambience was very good, decorations were not overdone for Valentine’s Day, it was just apt. Seating was comfortable.
Now food 🙂 – The spread was excellent with a lot of choices in Veg and Non-Veg. Starters were tasty. The desserts in particular, were very yummy !
Overall, we had a wonderful evening and a nice Dinner. Would definitely recommend this place and visit again.

After raving reviews of the restaurant by a lot of friends, I was there for dinner with family. I should say everything was good, but still fell short of expectations after hearing so much about the place.
General – The place was very nice and the ambience was welcoming. We managed to get a table within minutes. As time progressed, it was getting increasingly crowded and the waiters/managers were under constant pressure to find tables for the waiting guests. That is when they obviously got a little pushy in hurrying up our meal. Even before we finished our starters, the plates for the main course were set. I can understand quick service in terms of clearing finished plates, but not so quickly that you have to hurry up.
Food – starters were ok, Dhokla and Kasthi Kachori (hope I spelled it rite) was good, but lacked the “wow” factor. The Chat Platter was initially tasty, and again got boring with too many similar kinds of stuff. Masala chas was ok.
My two-year-old daughter was adamant on having noodles and that was very average, typical Sangeetha Hotel kinda stuff. So dropped the idea of ordering pasta and lasagna. Ordered Dal-bati and that was far from what we understood..it was so hard that we could neither use the fork, nor our hand. Not sure if that is how it is supposed to be since I was having it for the first time.
Overall, similar items that I have eaten in Rajdhani restaurant were much tastier than what I had here. Wouldnt be too eager to go there again !

We were there for two days in Tirupati with family and we ate twice here in this restaurant, a dinner and a lunch. This place basically brings backs lot of childhood memories and hence made it a point to eat here !
Good tasty food, a tad expensive if you look at the ambience. It is probably a 3-star restaurant and the ambience doesnt justify that. In fact, there was a puja(ritual) being performed and the whole place smelt like a temple 🙂 Well, at least I feel that a restaurant should smell of food, not incense sticks.
I found the service pretty good, and no complaints on that. Valet parking is helpful as the parking might be full and congested.
Overall a nice place to eat good food in Tirupati.

This review is for the Subway outlet at the Express Avenue and Citi Center.
Have been to both these outlets recently and started to love the Sub. Dont know why we havent considered it all this while, but really a nice choice compared to other Pizzas and stuff.
Tried roasted chicken, chicken tikka, chicken tandoori, panneer tikka and all of them were yummy…You can see it being prepared..select the veggies of your choice..opt for extra chicken or cheese..so you know it is fresh !! Not very fond of the hard bread so always opt for the soft one (Italian) and thats it !
The guys at the counter are polite and friendly and it makes it a nice experience.
Would definitely try again !

This review is for the Velachery restaurant.
Have been here a few times, the latest was to collect a take-away for Sunday Lunch.
Food is okay taste-wise, and no complaints.
Dont know why, but they do not have Egg Biriyani on the Menu. So if you(or whoever) do not want the chicken in the biriyani, you have to order for chicken biriyani and tell them to take out the chicken. You still have to pay for the chicken biriyani.
It is not about the few extra bucks that you have to pay, but why complicate things when it is so common to have Egg Biriyani on the menu in almost all Chettinad restaurants?
During the fifteen minutes of waiting, there were quite a few houseflies around that reminded me of naan-ee movie 😉 The waiters were struggling to kill them with a mosquito bat. 🙂
On the positive side, I have seen this restaurant open at least till 11:30 at night, so if you are late for dinner, this is definitely an option.
Overall, a decent place in Velachery.
