Hotel Sri Kamatchi, Pondicherry

Perhaps I went with too high expectations after hearing so much about this place, or perhaps it was their one off day, I wasn’t very impressed with the whole experience! It wasn’t bad, but then it wasn’t wow, I’ll tell you why! Continue reading

Hotel Pandia’s, Royapuram

After looking at the mouth-watering food pictures from Hotel Pandia’s in food groups, added it to my to-do list right away! Yes, I am referring to their branches in North Madras – apparently, there are two outlets in Royapuram and one in Washermanpet. Its only two or three times I have come to this part of the city. Not quite sure with the directions, after enquiring with a couple of auto drivers, spotted one in Cemetry Road in Royapuram, and decided to try! Since they were all the same brand, didn’t feel the need to go all the way to Washermanpet. Continue reading

Sandhya Mannpaanai Hotel, Batlagundu – Dindigul bypass

Wonderful homely lunch at Sandhya Mannpaanai Hotel, bang on the Bypass Road connecting Batlagundu and Dindigul. The place is roughly 10km after Batlagundu, on your left, when travelling towards Dindigul.  Continue reading

Surve’s Pure Non-Veg, FC Road, Pune

The foodie in me specifically searched for a nice Maharashtrian non-veg Thali and zeroed in on two places. Maratha Samrat and Surve’s Pure Non-Veg. Couldn’t make it to the former as we were delayed. So decided to go to Surve’s Pure Non-Veg on FC Road.  Continue reading

Thambi Vilas, T. Nagar

After a very average experience on my first attempt for a Sunday lunch with family, gathered courage to drop in for the second time, as a solo diner, as this has been one of the places that has had quite a few mixed reviews! One person comes out praising while the other comes out cursing  I really couldn’t draw a conclusion about this place with just one visit ! Continue reading

Thambi Vilas, T. Nagar

Thambi Vilas, a name that has been making a lot of noise in food circles. I’ve been waiting to visit this place for quite sometime now. Decided to take the family out for a Sunday lunch. Continue reading

Hotel Crescent, Nungambakkam

What better than a non-vegetarian breakfast on a Sunday Morning ! Most of the places I know serve Idiyappam and Mutton Paya for breakfast. Since I have restrictions by choice to eating red meat, my friend suggested that I should head to Hotel Crescent in Nungambakkam for tasty Kerala Chicken dishes. In spite of hearing about this place, haven’t been there ever, so decided to tick this place off my list. I should admit that I have a liking for Kerala food, so there was no looking back. Continue reading

Hajeera’s Kitchen

A sudden craving for Biryani and we decided on Saturday that we were going to order Biryani for Sunday lunch, the question was from where?!?!? Tried to recollect a few places and also requested suggestions from fellow-members in WCE! Finally zeroed in on Hajeera’s Kitchen. btw It has been on my list for quite sometime, so decided to tick it off today! Continue reading

Perfect Barbeques and Grills

I’ve been to this place earlier and have written about it here. We were four friends and just wanted to catch up for dinner after a long time. We decided to try some place close-by. Since I have been here earlier, I suggested this place. Continue reading

Kozhi Idli

It has been quite a while since I wrote a post on my blog. It was actually to cut down the frequency of my eating out. Somehow I realized that I have still been eating out quite often, but just not blogging about it. 😉 Continue reading
