Paradise, Perungudi

The mere mention of the word ‘Biryani’ stirs emotions, in a positive way! With so many different styles of biryani based on geography, people get very possessive about ‘their’ style. In fact one of the quotes that I’ve heard from the food circles sums it up nicely – ‘One man’s biryani is another man’s tomato rice‘ ! Continue reading

Rasavid, Karapakkam

Rasavid, a name that I have been hearing for a long time now, primarily for their Hyderabadi Biryani ! Somehow never managed to visit them for a dine-in, but long ago, I have ordered once from them and I loved it. Continue reading

Kalpana Andhra Mess, Sholinganallur

This place brings back a lot of memories! It used to be one of our regular lunch places for almost a year during my Accenture days, way back in 2007-2008. Kalpana Andhra Mess is located right outside the old Accenture office, immediately next to the Gateway hotel in Sholinganallur, on OMR. Continue reading

Chennaiites went crazy and the whole place decorated with serial lights and baloons looked like a carnival. Paradise themselves wouldn’t have expected anything remotely like this, would have been a very pleasant surprise for them ! Continue reading

Petuk

Petuk, a name that has been on my list for so long that I almost forgot about it ! A recent post about this place revived my enthusiasm to visit this place for Bengali cuisine. Continue reading
