Orange Wok, Velachery

Its been quite sometime that I blogged about my eating out, decided to write again!
This time, it was a quick visit to Orange Wok, in Velachery. We had just about an hour and a half before meeting someone, and didn’t want to venture too far away from Velachery. Remembered Orange Wok in the vicinity, decided to give it a shot! Continue reading

Pind, Velachery

Once upon a time, this was our favorite place for North-Indian/Punjabi food. Without a slightest hesitation, we would head there most of the time. Call it monotony, or whatever, we gradually stopped going here and it has been many months since I last visited. A friend and I were supposed to catch up with one of our friends who had come down from the US. We decided to try Pind for lunch. I was actually looking forward to the experience, just to see if it was still how I remembered it to be. Continue reading

Appa Sutta Dosai

Madras Pavilion, ITC Grand Chola

It’s been a while since I stepped into a Star Hotel for a meal. Chennai’s food scene is changing so fast with amazing stand-alone restaurants cropping up everywhere that you have so many other options to explore. However, when it is a some special occasion, you still look for something more than just the food – the ambience, the service and overall, the whole package. When such is the requirement, what better option than ITC Grand Chola in Guindy!! Continue reading

Dallay

A weird craving for momos on a rainy day, or rather a cloudy gloomy day.  Dallay was the first name in my mind, due to my earlier pleasant experience here and the proximity, of course! Kailash Kitchen was a distant dream, with the rains and flooded roads, did not even consider going that far. Continue reading

Perfect Barbeques and Grills

Namaste Restaurant and German Bakery, Mahabalipuram

Myself and three other friends managed a quick weekend getaway to Mahabalipuram and we spotted a nice restaurant in the heart of the town, managed by a family from Nepal! We were there for breakfast on a Sunday morning after quite a heavy drinking session on a Saturday night. 🙂 Needless to say, we were quite tired and hungry and did not want to venture very far for breakfast. Continue reading
